Envelope, 220 x 100, some creasing, sent registered mail from Church Stretton in Shropshire to 'The Church Wardens of Overseers, of the Poor of the Parish of Onibury, Salop' with 6d lilac (SG68) paying registration and die 2 1d rose-red on white paper (SG40) x 2 paying 2d postage, all stamps tied fine strikes '709' numeral of Church Stretton. On reverse 'CHURCH STRETTON' date stamp AU 18 60. Imperfections but very unusual provincial registered usage. (Ref 132772).
