1795 'BERKY SQ 1' RECEIVING HOUSE HAND STAMP LONDON PENNY POST (L418). Entire from George Street to Threadneedle Street, small fault and filing fold, dated June 24th 1795, with manuscript 'Pd 1d' and on front fine strike of the rare large type 'BERKY/SQ 1' receiving house hand stamp in black (L418) and London date stamp '7 o'Clock Evening/24-JU-95/PENNY.POST.PAID' in red (L443a). On front writer has noted time of posting '½ past three o'clock'. (Ref 123331).
