Good 1857 printed wrapper Chester to 'The Minister of Swettenham, Congleton' with 2d blue pl.5 L.C.14 (SG34) lettered HA, small surface rub tied fine strike 'CHESTER/180' spoon 13 MY 1857 code 'E' (RA31). Printed contents refer to the visitation by the Archdeacon of Liverpool 'to hold his court for admitting the Church and Chapel Wardens and Sidesmen...'. Slight soiling but very unusual and a rare survivor for such notices were usually 'insecurely fixed to the Church Door'. (Ref 140018).
