1846-1847 PRINTED POST OFFICE CIRCULAR ENCLOSING 'BOOK OF GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS' TO ALL LETTER-RECEIVERS. Scarce 1846-1847 printed Post Office circular 'TO ALL LETTER-RECEIVERS IN SCOTLAND' dated May 1846 detailing 'I FORWARD to you, for your information and guidance, the enclosed Book of General Instructions, drawn up for the use of Letter-Receivers in Scotland, which you will carefully preserve in your Office, as, should it be lost, you will be required to replace it at your own expense.' At foot fine strike 'LERWICK' date stamp MR 18 1847. Some faults but a rare survivor. (Ref 139763).
