1843 MAIL CUBA (DRAKE BROS) TO LONDON VIA LIVERPOOL WITH LIVERPOOL MALTESE CROSS ON REVERSE. Fine wrapper from Drake Bros. of Havana, Cuba dated 12th July 1843 to 'Mefsrs N. M. Rothschild and Sons, London' per 'Str Caledonia' and charged '1/-'. Letter via Liverpool and on reverse fine strike of a black Maltese cross which must have been struck at Liverpool instead of a Liverpool date stamp, also on reverse fine strike 'AMERICA/L' hand stamp in black and London date stamp 15 AU 1843 in red.
