1844 LETTER HITCHIN TO HERTFORD WITH 1D (SG8) AND ON REVERSE 'HERTFORD' SKELETON HAND STAMP (HE219). Letter from 'Hitchin Vicarage' dated Nov 12 1844 to 'Messrs Longmore and Sworder, Solicitors, Hertford' with 1d (SG8) lettered IK, four margins but scissor cut into K square and tied light strike '367' numeral of Hitchin. On reverse 'HITCHEN' date stamp NO 12 1844 and fine to very fine strike of the rare 'HERTFORD' skeleton date stamp (HE219) dated '13/1844' with month omitted.
