1843 MAIL DERBY TO BLANDFORD WITH 1D PL.29 (SG8) CANCELLED BLUE-GREEN MALTESE CROSS OF DERBY. Envelope from Derby to 'The Revd. R. S., Post Office, Blandford, Dorsetshire' with 1d pl.29 (SG8) lettered OI, just touched at upper right otherwise good margins and tied several strikes of the blurred blue-green Maltese cross seen in use at Derby. Stamp additionally cancelled with black Maltese cross upon arrival in Blandford. On reverse 'DERBY' date stamp MY 26 1843 in 'blue-green' and 'BLANDFORD' date stamp MY 28 1843 in black.
