Fine clean mourning envelope from Ampthill to 'Stephen Pilgrim Esq, Hinckley, Leicestershire' with fine die 2 1d pl.32 red-brown on blued paper (SG29) lettered QF tied fair strike '18' numeral of Ampthill. On reverse 'AMPTHILL' date stamp AP 28 1856. (Ref 136138).
