CIRCA 1890 HAND COLOURED DERAEDEMAEKER REPRINT SOUTHGATE CARICATURE NO.3 'PEG LEG SAILOR' ON WHITE PAPER. A superb unused example circa 1890 Deraedemaeker reprint of the Southgate caricature No.3 in black on white wove paper which has been most attractively hand coloured. Caricature depicts scenes of joviality as a result of cheaper postage with a 'Peg Leg' sailor at lower right receiving a letter. There are also celebrations in the background following a naval victory over the Chinese? (Ref 135639).
