1900 SOLDIER'S MAIL BOER WAR, SOUTH AFRICA TO OAKHAM, ENGLAND WITH ORIGINAL ENCLOSURE OF PART SNAKE SKIN. Envelope from a soldier serving in the Boer War 'To Sergt. Major Morgan, Whissendine, Oakham, England' with details of soldiers rank etc and countersigned by his commanding officer as required and on front 'LONDON/PAID' date stamp 3 DE 00. On reverse 'OAKHAM' date stamp DE 3 00. Unfortunately original letter no longer present although part of a 26 inch snake skin still present! Unusual. (Ref 135261).
