1734 MAIL NEWMARKET, SUFFOLK TO NORWICH WITH 'NEW/MARKET' HAND STAMP (SFK488). Entire letter from Newmarket dated Feb 26 1734 'For Mr Richard Collifs, Proctor at Norwich', charged '7' and on reverse good strike 'NEW/MARKET' two line hand stamp in black, unrecorded in County Catalogue but noted by Slemons (SFK488) 1733-1739. Rare early usage of the first Newmarket hand stamp. (Ref 134891).
