1848 MAIL LONDON TO EDINBURGH WITH 'Borough' RECEIVERS HAND STAMP IN BLACK (L514/BOR26a), FIRST EXAMPLE DISCOVERED. Envelope from London to Queen Street in Edinburgh with fine 1d (SG8) lettered BL, fine four margins and tied London numeral, on front fine strike 'Borough' straight line receivers hand stamp in black (L514/BOR26a). Feldman only recorded this hand stamp in red 1846-1848, this being the listed example in the London County Catalogue. (Ref 134649).
