Wrapper, some faults, from Wenlock to 'John Davenport Esq, Enville Hall, Nr Stourbridge', post paid '1', on front good to fine strike 'WENLOCK' udc in blue (SH330) and 'IRONBRIDGE' date stamp in red DE 22 1840. Ex Guy Bridges collection, the udc being the latest recorded usage (9th May 1838-22nd Dec 1840). (Ref 133009).
