1842 MAIL TIPTON, STAFFS TO 'MADLEY, IRON BRIDGE', INCORRECTLY ADDRESSED WITH MANUSCRIPT 'Not' WITHIN 'MADELEY' UDC (SH284). Wrapper from Tipton to 'Mr Georg Poots, Madley, Iron Bridge, Salop', post paid '1' and on reverse 'TIPTON' date stamp AU 31 1842. On front manuscript 'Try Ironbridge', also fine strike 'MADELEY' udc in black (SH284) with manuscript 'Not' within. Repaired spike hole but most unusual usage. (Ref 132986).
