1841 MAIL BIRMINGHAM TO DERBY WITH 1D PL.1B (SG7)(ED) AND 'BRITISH/WHITELEAD/COMPANY' WAFER SEAL. Letter, small fault at top, from Birmingham to 'Mefsrs. Robert Pegg and Co, Derby' dated July 9 1841 with fine 1d red from plate 1B (SG7) lettered ED with fine four margins and tied fine strike Birmingham Maltese cross. On front 'DERBY' date stamp JY 10 1841. On reverse 'BIRMINGHAM' date stamp JY 9 1841 and 'BRITISH/WHITELEAD/COMPANY' wafer seal in red, some faults. Stamp shows 7 and 10 o'clock ray flaws NW square.
