1784 MAIL CHRISTCHURCH TO WINCHESTER WITH 'X=/CHURCH' HAND STAMP (HA279). Fine letter from Christchurch in Hampshire to 'Mr Ridding, Attorney at Law, Winchester' dated Aug 30 1784 and charged '3'. On reverse fine strike of the rare and distinctive 'X=/CHURCH' hand stamp in black (HA279) in a semi-albino state as are the other few examples we have seen. (Ref 132216).
