A good used 1d Mulready wrapper, stereo A19 from Glasgow to 'Mifs Alice Mackenzie, 12 Charlotte Square, Edinburgh' cancelled blurred red-orange Edinburgh Maltese cross, on reverse 'GLASGOW' date stamp JY 24 1840 and Edinburgh date stamp JUL 25 1840. Within is a fine 'SMITH'S ENVELOPE ADVERTISER' dated 27th June 1840 (MA27a) with PREVIOUSLY UNRECORDED MISCUT VARIETY SO THAT 'No.1.' is omitted with blank part sheet margin at right.
