Larkham, Solr., Mere, Wilts' charged '4' and on front fine strike boxed 'No.3' receivers hand stamp in black of Wincanton. On reverse fine strike of the very scarce boxed hand stamp 'SHAFTESBURY/5" CL. POST' in black (WL472). Under the 5th clause local Postmasters were given jurisdiction to organise local postal services. (Ref 131148).
