1853 MAIL STALBRIDGE, DORSET TO BRUTON WITH '887' NUMERAL OF STALBRIDGE AND 'TEMPLE-COMBE' UDC (SO825) AND 'STALBRIDGE' UDC. Envelope from Stalbridge to Bruton, Somerset with 1d (SG8) lettered ND, damaged at upper right and crease affects tied good to fine strike of the '887' numeral of Stalbridge, Parmenter = 'G' = very rare. On reverse WINCANTON date stamp AU 31 1853, also 'STALBRIDGE' udc in black and 'TEMPLE-COMBE' udc in black (SO825). The latter udc only recorded in County Catalogue in 1845. (Ref 128770).
