1852/4 1D PL.157 MATCHED PAIR IMPERFORATE (SG8) AND PERF 16 (SG17) LETTERED SJ WITH FINE RE-ENTRY (Spec B2d and C1e). A good to fine used 1d pl.157 (SG8) lettered SJ with four close to good margins and showing RE-ENTRY MARKS IN UPPER SQUARES AND UPPER MARGIN (Spec B2d). Matched with a fine used example from the very scarce S.C.16 perforated printing (SG17) cancelled '880' of Allonby (Cumb), also showing fine re-entry marks (Spec C1e).  A very fine and very scarce matched pair, ex Folkard collection.
