1829 MAIL SALTASH TO PLYMOUTH WITH 'PLYMOUTH/PY.POST' HAND STAMP (DN1122). Fine wrapper from Saltash to 'Mr Jn. Bennett, 19. George Street, Plymouth Devon', on front fine strike boxed 'No.2' receiving house hand stamp in black of Saltash and on reverse good to fine strike boxed 'Plymouth/Py.Post' hand stamp in black (DN1122). Initial postal charge '1' deleted and replaced by '2' for Penny Post charges. On reverse PLYMOUTH date stamp 15 APL 1829. Good usage. (Ref 125109).
