1845 DORSET/'BLANDFORD PENNY POST' HAND STAMP (DT56). Letter Sturminster Newton to 'Edwin Newman Esqre Solicitor Yeovil' with 1d (SG8) lettered EG, touched in two places, tied good strike '87' numeral of Blandford. Alongside fair strike boxed 'No.1' receiving house hand stamp of Sturminster Newton and on reverse fair strike (over flap) 'BLANDFORD/12 AP 1845/PY POST' hand stamp in black (DT56). (Ref 119704).
