CIRCA 1860 PRINTED/HAND COLOURED 'THE YORK ROSE' ENVELOPE BY JOSEPH MYER. A fine unused example of 'THE YORK ROSE' part printed and part watercoloured envelope, in centre wreath style image of the English flag, at right the red rose of Lancashire and at left the white rose of Yorkshire. At lower left 'Joseph, Myers and Co, 144 Leadenhall Street, London' imprint and at lower right 'from C. Adler's Printing Establishment, Hamburgh' imprint. Attractive and very scarce, the first example we have seen. (Ref 136561).
