Mourning envelope, slight imperfections, from London to 'Countefs Nelson, Trafalgar, Charlton, Salisbury, Wilts' with fine die 2 1d S.,C.16 (SG21) lettered PL tied London numeral. On reverse light strike 'CHARLTON' udc in blue and London date stamp JU 28 1855. Countess Nelson was a descendent of Lord Nelson to whom this house was gifted and remained in the Nelson family until 1948. (Ref 137227).
