Envelope, small fault at top and part rear flap missing, from Newmilns, Ayr to 'Mr Andrew Anderson, Inspector of Poor, Parish of East Kilbride' with fine die 2 1d pale red (SG39) lettered IC tied fine to very fine strike 'NEWMILNS' Scots local type V in dark blue (Co. Ayr, Parent Post Office Kilmarnock). On reverse 'KILMARNOCK' date stamp OC 13 1859. Rare usage. (Ref 138394).
