1845 MAIL KENDAL, WESTMORLAND TO WENSLEYDALE WITH VERY FINE ILLUSTRATED LETTER 'BENDRIGG COURSING CLUB MEETING'. Fine letter from Kendal dated Sep 27 1845 to 'Mr Hammond, Solicitor, West Burton, Wensleydale, Yorkshire' with 1d (SG8) lettered OK, four close but clear to very large margins and tied '411' numeral of Kendal. On reverse 'KENDAL' and 'BEDALE' date stamps SP 30 and OC 1 1845. Within is very fine printed letter concerning 'BENDRIGG COURSING CLUB MEETING' which will take place 14th and 15th October, detailing prizes and stakes, at top fine engraved image of two dogs chasing a hare.
