1842 MAIL KENDAL TO LANCASTER WITH 'BOWNESS/PENNY POST' HAND STAMP (WE82). Good large part wrapper, side flaps missing and slight soiling from Kendal to Lancaster with 1d (SG8) lettered MB, three margins, tied Kendal Maltese cross in black. On front very fine strike 'Bowness/Penny Post' hand stamp in blue (WE82), on reverse KENDAL date stamp JU 25 1842. Also contemporary coloured print 'BOWNESS, AND WINDERMERE LAKE, WESTMORLAND', tone spot. (2 items). (Ref 128337).
