1840 MAIL LONDON TO STAMFORD, LINCS 1D GREY-BLACK PL.6 (SG3)(OF). Envelope from London to 'W. Fancourt Esqe, Empingham, near Stamford' envelope with corner fault upper left and tone spots, 1d grey-black pl.6 (SG3) lettered OF, very close but just clear upper right otherwise good margins and tied light strike red Maltese cross. On reverse London date stamp SP 18 1840. (Ref 139774).
