Letter from Newmarket dated Febry 17 1733 'To Mr Wych att Hockwold cum Wilton, near Brandon, Ferry, Norfolk', charged '7' and on reverse light strike 'NEW/MARKET' two line hand stamp in black (SFK 488). This hand stamp the earliest recorded hand stamp of Newmarket and the earliest recorded usage is 12th Feb 1733. Letter references selling of a horse. Fine early usage. (Ref 133171).
