1858 LARGE PIECE REGISTERED MAIL LIVERPOOL TO LONDON WITH 1D (SG40) AND 6D (SG68) WITH 'LIVERPOOL/REGISTERED/466' SPOON CANCELLATIONS (RA71). Fine clean piece, 140 x 60, sent registered mail from Liverpool to London with fine die 2 1d pl.46 rose-red on white paper (SG40) lettered RI and good 6d lilac (SG68), several shorter perforations, both tied fine to very fine strike of the very scarce 'LIVERPOOL/REGISTERED/466' spoon cancellation (RA71) FE 27 1858. At left fine strikes 'CROWN/REGISTERED' and 'REGISTERED/G.P.O' hand stamps in red. Very attractive piece. (Ref 136213).
