1831 SOMERSET/WINCANTON 5TH CLAUSE POST. Mourning wrapper from Castle Cary to "Mr Earle Andover Hants" dated Dec 1st 1831 and charged "8". On front fine strike boxed "No.2" receiving house hand stamp, filing fold affects. On reverse fair strike (over flap) boxed "Wincanton/5'' Cl. Post" hand stamp in black (SO1002). Letter references "the afflicted state of my sister's nervous disease...". (Ref 115436).
