1840 1D MULREADY WRAPPER SHREWSBURY TO BALA IN WALES. Fine 1d Mulready wrapper, stereo unclear, from Shrewsbury to 'Mifs Sam Ryder, Henblas, Llandderfel, near Bala' with additional manuscript 'To be delivered as early as possible'. Britannia cancelled fine strike red Maltese cross of Shrewsbury and on reverse 'SHREWSBURY' date stamp JU 28 1840. Good usage going to Wales. (Ref 137018).
