1845 'REFUSED' MAIL IRONBRIDGE TO DAWLEY, SHROPSHIRE WITH 'DAWLEY GREEN/PENNY POST' HAND STAMP (SH120). Letter from Ironbridge with printed financial demand to 'Mr Ben. Mason, Stoney Hill, Dawley' (Shrops) with 1d (SG8) lettered GE, just touched at lower right otherwise good margins and tied '406' numeral of Ironbridge. On front good partial strike of the very scarce 'Dawley Green/Penny Post' hand stamp in red (SH120), manuscript 'Refused' and 'IRONBRIDGE' date stamp JA 10 1845. (Ref 133398).
