1842 COACHING INN RECEIPT 'MERMAID INN, SHREWSBURY'. A good coaching inn receipt, 104 x 169, corner faults and slight soiling from 'JOHN BRYAN, Mermaid Inn, SHREWSBURY' with very fine image of a mermaid brushing her hair at top with inscription 'Well Aired Beds, Good Stabling, Wines and Spirits of superior Quality'. Receipt dated 15th February 1842 and confirms settlement of bill. (Ref 132869).
