Fine letter from Badger near Shifnall in Shropshire to 'Mr Cadell, Bookseller in the Strand, London' dated October 9th 1779 and charged '4'. Wax seal cut away on reverse but fine strike 'BRIDG/NORTH' two line hand stamp in black (SH53). Writer is commenting on the fine references to his father in 'Biographia Britannica'. (Ref 131618).
