Mourning envelope from Torphins to Edinburgh with die 2 1d rose-red on white paper (SG40) lettered IK, several short perforations, tied light strike 'TORPHINS' Scots local cancellation VIII in green and additionally cancelled Scottish numeral. On reverse a fine second strike 'TORPHINS' Scots local hand stamp also in green and 'BANCHORY' date stamp MR 1 1860. (Ref 136696).
