1855 MAIL DUNBOG, FIFE TO ELGIN WITH 'DUNBOG' TYPE D1 SCOTS LOCAL BACK STAMP. Envelope, some soiling, from Dunbog to 'Mifs Murdoch, Woodside, Lhanbryde, Elgin, Morayshire' with die 1 1d (SG17), some faults tied '265' Scots numeral of Newburgh. On reverse fine strike 'DUNBOG' type D1 Scots local back stamp in blue although tears to envelope affect, also on reverse 'NEWBURGH' date stamp AP 21 1855 and 'ELGIN' date stamp AP 23 1855.
