Letter from Ayr dated 28th June 1856 to 'Mr Andrew McCrorie, Inspector, Kilwinning' with fine die 2 1d L.C.14 (Spec C6) lettered LE tied good readable strike 'CROSS STREET' Scots local cancellation type VIII in green (Parent Post Office Ayr). On reverse 'AYR' date stamp JN 28 1856. Very rare cancellation with Alcock rarity guide 'G'. (Ref 136660).
