1751 FREE MAIL WESTMINSTER TO EDINBURGH WITH 'WS' LONDON RECEIVER. Fine letter from Westminster dated 7th Dec 1751 sent free mail 'To Alexr. Duff of Hallen Esq, by Edinburgh' and signed 'free' at lower left (L762) by 'Abercrombie'. On reverse London Bishop mark '7/DE' and fine strike 'WS' circular London receivers hand stamp in black, probably that of William Skelton receiver in Westminster 1736-1752. (Ref 139308).
