1840 UNIFORM FOURPENNY POST EDINBURGH TO MELROSE WITH HAND STAMP '4'. Wrapper from Edinburgh to Melrose dated 6th Jan 1840, some soiling, part address faded and repair within, on front good part strike 'WARRISTON' straight line hand stamp and also fine strike Edinburgh Uniform Fourpenny Post hand stamp '4' in black. On reverse Edinburgh date stamp JAN 6 1840. Faults but priced accordingly. (Ref 139903).
