Letter from Arbroath dated 5th December 1840 to Edinburgh with reference to an order for 41 yards blueish cloth for trousers same colour used by the Royal Artilliary with post paid '1'. On front fine strike 'ARBROATH' date stamp DE 5 1840 and boxed 'PAID' hand stamp of Arbroath both in red-orange. (Ref 139554).
