Envelope, opened out for display and with repaired tear, used within London with ½d Bantam (SG48) lettered JD, slight colour loss cancelled fine strike 'LONDON EC' date stamp ex duplex JA 6 71. Envelope had been sealed and therefore treated as a letter rather than printed matter with circular 'E.C./1d' charge mark in black and very fine strike of the very scarce 'Closed against/inspection.E.C.' instructional mark.
