1850 MAIL LONDON TO BEDALE, NORTH YORKS WITH 1D PL.96 (SG8)(JH). Envelope from London to 'Jn. Hammond Esquire, West Burton, Bedale' with good used 1d pl.96 (SG8) lettered JH, four very close but clear to large margins, light bend, cancelled London numeral. On reverse fine strike 'Strand-B' London receiver's hand stamp in blue (L514) and 'BEDALE' date stamp MR 27 1850. (Ref 131281).
