    1855 MAIL MANCHESTER TO SHREWSBURY WITH DIE 2 1D PL.6 L.C.16 (SG26)(SI). Envelope from Manchester 'To Messrs F. W. and G Burns, Esquires, Lead Works, Shrewsbury' with fine die 2 1d pl.6 from the much scarcer L.C.16 printing (SG26) lettered SI, centred a little low and tied fine strike 'MANCHESTER/498' sideways duplex OC 24 1855. On reverse 'SHREWSBURY' date stamp OC 25 1855 in green. Very scarce stamp on cover. (Ref 136758).
