1841 MAIL OXFORD TO NEWPORT, SALOP WITH 1D RED PL.XI (SG7)(GE). Fine entire from Oxford to 'W Leddle Esq, Wine Merchant, Newport, Salop' with 1d red pl.XI (SG7) lettered GE, touched at upper right and small tear, tied fine strike Oxford Maltese cross. On reverse 'OXFORD' date stamp SE 27 1841. GE is one of the two letterings on plate eleven not to show the 7 o'clock ray flaw NE square. (Ref 136438).
