1814 FINE PRINTED 'MILITIA./ACCOUNT OF MONEY...' FROM NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE TO STAMFORD. Fine wrapper from Newcastle upon Tyne to 'Wm. Reed Esq. Treasurer, Stamford', charged '11' and on front good strike NEWCASTLE-U.T/277 circular date stamp JA 14 1814. Within a very fine printed 'MILITIA./Account of Money paid by the Treasurer of the said Town and County, for the Relief of the Families of Men serving in the above Militia'. The payment is in respect to a member of the South Lincoln Militia sent as a 'Substitute' to Newcastle upon Tyne. (Ref 125852).
