SOUTHGATE CARICATURE NO.1. A good unused ORIGINAL envelope in black on white wove paper, several tone spots, depicting Britannia, right eye covered by a patch, scattering her messengers. Also references to war with China and joyous scenes at the receiving of mail. At right a postman tries in vain to deliver a packet to a man on the gallows. (Ref 118272).
