1839 LONDON CROSS POST MAIL BRENTFORD TO ANDOVER VIA KINGSTON WITH 'BRENTFORD/PENNY POST' HAND STAMP (L722). Letter, some soiling and imperfections at foot, from Brentford to 'H. Earle Esqr., Andover, Hants' dated July 23rd 1839 and charged '8'. Letter has travelled via Kingston rather than the London Chief Office, and on front fair to good strike 'Brentford/Penny Post' hand stamp in black (L722). On reverse 'KINGSTON' date stamp JY 23 1839.
