    1810 MAIL FROM 'H.M.S. WARRIOR' WRITTEN AT SEA TO PLYMOUTH WITH 'SHIP-LETTER/CROWN/PLYMOUTH' HAND STAMP (ROB. S5). Wrapper with additional letter written by I D Spranger aboard H.M.S. Warrior whilst at sea, dated Jan 18th 1810 and addressed to 'Mrs Robt. Spranger, Tamerton, near Plymouth, Devon', posted on arrival in Plymouth and charged '2' for local delivery. On front fair to good strike 'SHIP-LETTER/CROWN/PLYMOUTH' double ring oval hand stamp in black (Rob. S5/DN1760). On front some soiling or possible staining by vinegar to disinfect. (Ref 128034).
