1835 MAIL LONDON TO LITTLE THURROCK, ESSEX WITH 'ROMFORD/PENNY POST' HAND STAMP (EX399). Letter London to 'The Rev. W. Fielden, Little Thurrock, near Grays, Efsex' dated 8th April 1835 and charged '4'. On front good strike boxed 'Romford/Penny Post' hand stamp in red (EX399), filing fold just clear of hand stamp. On reverse 'VS' Vere Street date stamp 8 AP 1835, apparently used 10 days earlier than previously recorded. (Ref 125169).
